Run, Fat Boy, Run Movie Review
Here's a review of the new movie Run, Fat Boy, Run by Iris Smith:
Feel my spatula... as a training technique was certainly effective in Run, Fat Boy, Run. Not sure it would be accepted, appreciated or effective in our own group but run, not walk, to your nearest movie theater and experience Run, Fat Boy, Run.
It's not really a running movie, but it is about marathons, and what they do to us and those around us; how we feel and how we're viewed. Maybe (okay, I'm not real sure about that!)none of our stories are as quirky (it is a movie after all) as the hero in RFBR, but they're every bit as interesting. And while I sat there laughing wildly, just grinning or just smiling - been there, done that, and oh-boy-do-I-have-a-tee-shirt"! You can't help but relate to the sight gags especially after the spinning class, the first run, and the coaching "staff." You'll love some of the background music. London shows itself beautifully during the runs and in its daily routines felt just like home. I hope I can go there some time. Ron said I just wanted to go to see what the London marathon was like; and, okay, I'll admit to that. So where can I sign up??!!!!!
It was a terrific movie! I'd go see it again. And, yes, I KNOW, it takes more than 3 weeks to train for a marathon!

Saw this last night - very funny and more light-hearted that prior movies (Shaun of the Dead) from this group. Recommended.
