5:1 Group Leader Update FOR 11/1/2008
Ouuchhh! That's what I can see today, last night it hurt so much that I was
speechless! As we were arriving to the gym and I proceeded to exit my car, I
left my pinky finger inside and closed the door on it, amazingly without
screaming I calmly called Leo and told him "Hold down, I just crushed my
finger" to make a long story short, Leo's boyscout instincts kicked in and
immediately proceeded to take care of me and my black and blue swollen
pinky, he did a great job!
As I'm sitting here at home, I can only say I'm glad I did not hurt any of
my toes, as runner, our feet, toes, legs are our treasures and while I say
this I'm knocking on wood.
This week the Miami runners have 15-17 miles to log in and it looks like we
are set to do 17 miles, the plan is to start at 4:45 AM. Leo, Linda and
myself will be there (Lynn will be out of town) Jeff may be joining us early
too. Feel free to join us if you want to start early or wish to do a little
extra, just let me know. For the rest who are doing 10 Miles, join us at the
1o mile marker at 6:00 AM.
Speaking of Linda, she celebrated her Birthday yesterday 10/28, lets take a
moment, to send here all the best and hoping she had a spectacular day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA!!!
Roxanne did an awesome job last week completing here last long run before
her Marathon in San Antonio, way to go girl!
On a different note, I wanted to take the opportunity to encourage everyone to get out and vote, as this election season is ending and the big day is approaching, lets take a moment to be thankful for what we have, for the country we live in and the liberties we have as citizens, take advantage of these liberties and make your vote count, no matter your party or candidate of choice, just go and vote! ... (I'm Natalia Liy and I approve this
message).
Saludos!
